ABOUT -
Dalat is the Wedding and Honeymoon Capital of Vietnam. It is also known as "City of thousands of pine trees" - "City of Eternal Spring" - "Little Paris" - "the City of Love" - "the City of Poetry" - "the Green City" - "the Flower City" - "Honeymoon City" - "City of Artists" and "the City in the Forest".
Dalat was established by the French as a Hill Station retreat from the hot weather in 1907. A railway line from Saigon to Dalat and Nha Trang was opened in 1938. It is known as "Little Paris" due to the number of French buildings, broad boulevards, lakeside hotels and villas and it even has a telecommunications tower the resembles the Eiffel Tower.
It is a very popular spot for Vietnamese honeymooners and it seems a little unusual to see them walking around in jumpers / pullovers and cowboy hats.
It is a beautiful area and at times you will forget you are in Asia and think you are somewhere in Europe. It's a nice place just to hang around as well as having lots to see and do. Be as active or sedentary as you feel like on the day and take everything at the pace you want to do it.
Adding on a city stopover before, after or both will really give your honeymoon some variety and all four cities listed are fascinating places.
